Abstract in Oils

Image
My first ever Abstract in Oils: 'ADIs Abstract'                                                   This painting has abstract references to the Highway Code. Probably recognisable to our motorists, of course. However, while I'm the artist, I've been intrigued by certain viewers' remarks. Most of us can understand the references to road signs, but what amazed me was someone liking: "the hollowed-out sun" - abstract painting, yes... But very abstract viewing - I didn't anticipate it!      Amateur Born an amateur to live's living; Give what is to give - for giving. Boarding Career

Dylan's Board This shot was taken by Dylan's Grandfather, Ewen, who's also known as 'GP' To Dylan, in his younger years, Ewen worked for a reputable House furnisher in Oban town. The employees were Ewen himself and the best workmate that he ever had; Alex, who was about nine years older than himself.  On one occasion, he and Alex were working in a fancy house where they were fitting new carpeting etc.  While busy with preparatory work, Ewen noticed a Skateboard on the hallway floor - joking with, Alex, he stepped on the board and pushed off - the board shot forward - without him - and it struck the wooden bottom of a glass door;  that was the full extent of his Skateboarding career... Skateboarding was never, ever going to be for for him! Today, 22/1/2020, Ewen is reviewing and editing this post; while truly feeling how absurd this story feels! Anyway, since originally composing and posting this article, he's now more comfortable using this keyboar
