Wetherspoons is a reputable house furnisher in Oban. The employees were Ewen himself and the best workmate that he ever had; Alex, who was about nine years older than himself.

 On one occasion, he and Alex worked in a fancy house where they were fitting new carpeting etc.  While busy with preparatory work, Ewen noticed a Skateboard on the hallway floor - joking with, Alex, he stepped on the board and pushed off - the board shot forward - without him - and it struck the wooden bottom of a glass door;  that was the full extent of his Skateboarding interest... Skateboarding was never, ever going to be for him!

Today, 22/1/2020, Ewen is reviewing and editing this post; while truly feeling how absurd this story feels! Anyway, since originally composing and posting this article, he's now more comfortable using this keyboard - and truly knows  just how he'll never be a real typist. 😉

There are numerous analogies which come to mind with this old photograph of mine, tickling my fairly wry sense of humour... originally, in my younger years, my key focus was on my family's well-being and so forth! Generally, when one's fit and healthy, paid employment is sought - comparatively easy back then, compared to the present times! We fortunate people could've counted our blessings while recognising how random such matters were - and perhaps, still are? Most of us know someone who'd be pleased to land a job, for various reasons, over and above the benefit of a paid income! My own 'job' ended on the 4th of February, 2010... I'd been an 'ADI': an abbreviation of DSA ADI, which is quite a mouthful 😐 That car crash destroyed both the car and my business - but not me 😉 ~ That incident finished...
